Maintenance Service Schedule
- Before every trip, test your trailer's connection with your tow vehicle for running, break, and turn signal lights
- Check that bulbs are not burnt out
- Check for cracked or damaged wires or connectors
- Check for cracked or loose lenses
- Check for a fuse failure if you have non-working lights after verifying that your wires are connected and that no bulbs are burnt out
- Ensure that there is sufficient electrical grease on connectors
- Tire pressure needs to be checked frequently, make sure the tires are not over or underinflated
- Check for cracked or damaged rubber, this can happen as wheels age, from sun damage, or if the trailer has not moved for an extended period of time
- Check for wheel rim damage including bends or cracks within the rim
- Check for normal use tread wear, check tread wear frequently, uneven wear may be a sign of a bent axle
- Repack and inspect your trailer every 12 months or 12,000 miles
- Check for grease forming around the wheel hub exterior at least once every 6 months
